Magna Clutch Problem

Darren asks:

Question

Mitsubishi Magna Sedan TP 1990
After renewing Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder I have not been able to select gears as i have found the Slave Cylinder is not returning to its engaged position I have removed inspected and replaced but still unable to get the pushrod to return to the bottom of the slave cylinder frustrating more and more each time I try to rectify this.

Answer

I can only assume you have bled the clutch system. You must get the air out so the hydraulics will work properly.
One other possible problem is that the clutch release fork has become disconnected from its pivot point.
